Weâ€™re already half way through the student year and the National Union of Students (NUS) are confirming around 28,500 school leavers are still waiting to receive their student grants. Still?!! Appalling.
In days gone by, we often used to say that there was no need to save for a baby â€“ in fact, I remember many a conversation with newly weds when theyâ€™d be asking about preparing for a family and someone in the crowd would say â€śIf you wait til you can afford a baby, youâ€™ll never have one!â€ť And so the encouragement continued to do the deed and wait for the bundle of joy to arrive, no matter what the bank balance shows.
