debt!

I married at the beginning of this year and have debts which have escalated like you wouldn’t believe. The majority of my debts are held in my maiden name – could these be included in an IVA together with the debts in my married name?

Many thanks for posting your query on our Forum.

I can confirm that all debts which were taken out under your maiden name and since using your married name can and would be included in an IVA if you were to propose one.

When informing your creditors of you proposed IVA, the company dealing with you affairs have a duty to make it clear that some of your debts were obtained prior to you “tying the knot”
