hello everyone,

I have heard that the laws are changing here on personal bankrupcy. does anyone know if;-

The new laws on bankrupcy will mean that it will be the same as in England where it is easy to make yourself bankrupt for about £500 and it lasts 12 months

When the laws will be changed?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide me with.

Yes, Bankruptcy in Scotland will change in 2006/7: I think there is a Bill going through the Scottish Parliament at the moment.

It looks as if most of the proposals are designed to make bankruptcy in Scotland similar to English Law.

More details can be found here.

Regards

Andrew
