I am in a Clear debt IVA (thanks you've saved my life) and I am finding it difficult to get a bank account who will offer me a debit card. I am with the abbey and I only have a hold in the wall card. I was wondering if any banks did offer a solo or electron card so I could buy things online etc? thank you |

| Hello, the best place I can think of for the bank account that you requie is the CO-OP Bank, they do a Cashmider Account with a Visa Electron Card, I think you should be ok to make a telephone application with them, call 08457 212212. Good Luck. |

I agree with Kam. The Co-operative Bank offer a good account called Cashminder. Don't open an account with them if you owe them money as they may freeze funds.
National Westminster Bank offer an account called a Step Account - which offers you a Solo Debit card. Similalry, don't use their banking services if you're in debt with them IE a credit card.
