my parents are in BIG trouble. they like in a house that they have owned forever. it is probably worth about £250k now although they bought it for 2,2k! They have somehow managed to get themselves into 25k of debt. who lends that sort of money to OAP's is beyond me!! anyway... they cannot get a re-mortgage as they are too old, (79 and 86) and they are surviving on state pension. don't think they have ever made a payment to any of there debts! to top things off, they are both suffering from slight dementia so it is difficult to get information from them...
i would hate for them to go bankrupt and lose my inheritence, any advice would be welcome here! |

| Might be appropriate for them to down size and sell their House, pay off all loans and creditors and invest balance to benefit their standard of living. |
