Community and Charity Work at ClearDebt

At ClearDebt, we are proud to actively engage and encourage employee support for specially selected local charities and projects which we feel strongly about. As we continue our fundraising efforts throughout the year, you can read below exactly which charities we are focusing on.

ClearDebt's nominated charities for 2011

Each year ClearDebt chooses two charities to devote our best efforts to.

For 2011, the chosen charities are Rainbow Trust and SCOPE.  To help raise funds for Scope, ClearDebt were pleased to enter a team in the Great Manchester Run whilst for Christmas, staff bought and posted 187 gifts for the children and their siblings supported by The Rainbow Trust. Rainbow Trust

Founded in 1986, Rainbow Trust Children's Charity provides greatly needed emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.  Rainbow Trust's Family Support Workers join families in their own home, providing practical support where possible to help with the everyday living needs, not just of the children who are ill, but for their parents and siblings .  They are contactable 24 hours a day and offer vital support for families in crisis from diagnosis, through treatment and even after bereavement.

Scope

Scope supports disabled people and their families around the UK. 

Working with policy-makers, service providers and the public, Scope campaigns to improve disabled people's legal rights and opportunities. They champion the removal of disabling barriers creating the appetite and enthusiasm for the full inclusion and equal participation of disabled people in every aspect of our society.
  
In addition to the campaigning work carried out by Scope, they also offer disabled people education, learning, employment and training opportunities tailored to their needs and abilities, short breaks of various kinds, residential care and supported independent living.

ClearDebt's Local Community Work

ClearDebt are also keen to invest time and money to show our support for local sports groups.

We are proud to have been Kit Sponsor for Sale Rovers Football Team.  For the last three years we have done this under our "ClearCash" brand and in 2012 we will see this winning team sport a new kit with the "ClearDebt" brand.

Sale Rovers were established in 2005 by an ambitious group of friends who decided to run, manage and play for their own team. The team have had continued success winning the Altrincham & District Cup in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 season.  We wish them the best of luck for 2011/12.
