Local Community and Charity

At ClearDebt, we are proud to actively engage and encourage employee support for specially selected local charities and projects which we feel strongly about. As we continue our fundraising efforts throughout the year, you can read below exactly which charities we are focusing on.

ClearDebt's nominated charity for 2013

Each year ClearDebt chooses a charity to devote our best efforts to.

For 2013, our chosen charity is The Wellspring Centre.

The Wellspring

Located in Stockport, The Wellspring is a resource centre for homeless and disadvantaged people. The centre is open 365 days a year and actively engages with homeless people, providing advice and support, as well as referrals into housing or supported accommodation. 

The paid staff at The Wellspring have supported over 700 people into housing of some description, all of whom were sleeping rough on the streets at some time. The Wellspring offers educational courses as well as providing a  full GP service, 2 fully operational PCT spec surgeries and a PCT nurse on site who can address any health problems.

Over 100 people use the services at The Wellspring every day of the year. As a company, ClearDebt will aim to provide regular volunteer rotas from our staff here who can assist in the kitchens, talking to visitors in the centre, helping with any tasks needed from the professional team there and where possible helping people with reading, basic maths skills and financial advice.

ClearDebt's Local Community Work

 

ClearDebt are also keen to invest time and money to show our support for local sports groups. We are proud to have been Kit Sponsor for Sale Rovers Football Team for the last three years.

In 2013, we will be sponsoring the the Old Stretfordians football team under the ClearDebt brand.

 

 

Tough Guy Challenge 2013

ClearDebt also sponsored Magnus in the Tough Guy Challenge 2013. The event comprises an 8 mile muddy run combined with an assault course involving heights, deep freezing water, fire, barbed wire and electrocution!

ClearDebt donated £500 to the Magnus team who completed the challenge. The money raised went to a local charity which needs vital support.

Thank you very much indeed for the generous donation of £500 made by Cleardebt to the Magnus Tough Guy Challenge. Their total is now somewhere around £6,500 which is fantastic but very well deserved judging from the pictures!We are very grateful to you for your support.

East Cheshire Hospice provides special care for adults suffering from life-limiting illnesses for which there is no cure. They care for the whole person, aiming to meet all their needs, whether they are medical, emotional or spiritual or around the challenges of daily-living. They also support families and carers throughout what is often a difficult period.
