Meet the ClearDebt Team
David Mond - CEO
David Mond is CEO at ClearDebt as well
as Senior Partner at Hodgsons
Charted Accountants. A Chartered Accountant and Licensed
Insolvency Practitioner, David has over 40 years experience and has
been instrumental in successfully campaigning for ethics and high
standards of services within this industry. David is Chairman
of the Debt Resolution Forum (DRF) and created ClearDebt because of
his strong belief that a debt resolution service could have the
highest standards of service for both those who owe money and the
creditors they owe money to.
Creating ClearDebt was an extremely exciting time for me - an
opportunity to give people in debt an option they so desperately
needed - a safe haven. It was the right time to make a stand
within the debt sector and set the wheels in motion for others to
follow our practice.

Andrew Smith - Director of Marketing and External Affairs
Andrew Smith, Director of Marketing and External
Affairs for ClearDebt is a member of the Chartered Institute of
Public Relations and also has diplomas from the Chartered Institute
of Marketing and the Communications, Advertising and Marketing
Foundation. He has worked in marketing communications for 34
years. Between 1992 and 2004 Andrew was a director of
specialist insolvency, debt and personal finance communications
firm, Smith Grundon & Partners Limited. He joined ClearDebt in
August 2004.
"Since joining ClearDebt we have been able to make visible
progress not just in terms of ensuring the standards and ethics
within the company are correct, but in terms of being in a strong
enough position, politically, to be able to make a difference in
campaigning for the rights of people in debt."

Simon Lee - Chief Operating Officer
Simon Lee has been with ClearDebt since
2007 and has worked in the finance sector since 1999. Simon is
responsible for the debt management team and makes a vital
contribution in many areas of the business.
"It's essential we provide accurate advice from a client's very
first call with us - all the way through to the completion of their
agreed debt solution. It's our job to ensure they never feel
judged, but instead, feel the benefit of the lifeline we are able
to offer, and the relief they can start working their way towards a
debt free future."
Cheryl Allen - Insolvency Manager (IVAs)
Cheryl Allen, Insolvency Manager, has worked for David Mond
since 1999, was with ClearDebt from the start, and is one of our
longest standing members of staff. Now responsible for a team
of 17, Cheryl manages the process of client communication and
documentation from first contact to acceptance of IVA from
creditors, and then oversees the completion of the entire IVA
process.
"I feel it's been a great privilege to see the company grow as
we continue to help people with debt problems who are in desperate
need of advice, support and relief. The most rewarding part
of the job? To hear how happy our clients sound when we
confirm their IVA has been accepted by their creditors and the
weight which is lifted from their shoulders as they realise there
really is light at the end of the tunnel."
Tylah Thompson - Head of Supervisory Team (IVAs)
Tylah Thompson, Head of ClearDebt's Supervisory Team has worked
in the finance sector since 2004. Heading up a team of 7
staff, Tylah manages the process of client communication and
documentation once an IVA is in place.
"In my opinion, the hardest part of being in an IVA is sticking
to a budget - no matter what. An IVA offers people in debt a
solution to a situation which has brought them incredible amounts
of stress and worry, however, keeping to the budgets set by the
Individual Voluntary Arrangement is often the hardest part. IVAs
are flexible and can sometimes be altered if people's circumstances
genuinely worsen further. My team are able to help support
people through this process and it's a great pleasure to see them
succeed, completing their IVA and beginning their debt free
life."
Laura Fitzgerald - Operations and Customer Services Manager
(Debt Management Plans)
Working in the industry since 1997, Laura joined ClearDebt in
2007. Her team look after clients who need support throughout
their Plan.
To ensure ClearDebt clients receive the right level of support, an
online community space has been created to enable clients to ask
questions and talk to each other, as well as to the professional
team at the ClearDebt office, about their situation.
"The online community has been a great success - we're always on
hand to answer any questions, but the community space gives our
clients a chance to speak to each other about their own experiences
and share tips and advice which has helped them adapt to their new
way of life."

Kate Oxtoby - Creditor Liaison Manager (Debt Management
Plans)
Kate has worked in the finance sector since 2002 and joined
ClearDebt in 2007.
Managing the relationships ClearDebt has with creditors, Kate and
her team have become an integral part of the business.
"Developing and maintaining good relations with creditors,
enables us to get the best possible response when approaching them
with Debt Management Plan proposals. Relationships like this
are never easy, and it's important we work closely to avoid any
unnecessary worries for either party."
